The Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) will hold a
Virtual Poster Session on Thursday, 24 March 2011 at 6:00 p.m. GMT.
Entitled "APECS Working Group on Sediment Budgets in Cold Environments,"
the poster session will feature two speakers:
Professor Achim A. Beylich, Geological Survey of Norway (NGU); the
Department of Geography Norwegian University of Science and Technology
(NTNU); and Chair of the International Association of Geomorphologists
Working Group on Sediment Budgets in Cold Environments (SEDIBUD).
Beylich will discuss the achievements and future goals of the SEDIBUD
Network, and his research on cold region sediment budgets in Norway.Dr. Armelle Decaulne; Clermont-Ferrand, France. Decaulne will talk
about her research projects on Iceland, and her career development from
APECS to member of one of the most successful cold region geomorphology
initiatives.
