The Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board has finalized its
"Guidelines for Incorporating Traditional Knowledge in Environmental
Impact Assessment." A copy of the document can be downloaded from the

The Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board is an aboriginal
co-management board set up to handle environmental assessments in the
Mackenzie Valley, Northwest Territories, Canada.
These new guidelines clarify the Review Board's expectations of
developers and other environmental impact assessment participants for
the incorporation of aboriginal traditional knowledge into baseline
information, project design, impact prediction, and mitigation methods.
