The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) seeks a suitably qualified
analytical chemist to manage our state of the art facility for
environmental chemistry (ASET). The laboratory consists of GC-MS, LC-
MS, and ICP-MS instruments that require oversight, maintenance, and the
training of students; individuals are sought with with experience in
operating these devices. Duties will include supervision of technically
trained personnel, performing instrument service and maintaining service
records, tracking laboratory budgets, and maintaining effecting billing
practices. Minimum qualifications are a Master of Science in analytical
chemistry or closely related field plus 3-5 years of experience in an
analytical chemistry laboratory. Salary is dependent on experience and
qualifications. Excellent health insurance and retirement benefits are
