2nd RUSSIAN CONFERENCE ON GEOCRYOLOGY
6-8 June 2001
Moscow, Russia

In accordance with the decision of the First Russian Conference on
Geocryology held 6-8 June 1996 the 2nd RUSSIAN CONFERENCE ON GEOCRYOLOGY
will be held at Moscow State University in June 2001.

The conference will be devoted to the most recent projects in various
fields of geocryology. We plan to publish the accepted papers that
contain original research data before the conference. The conference is
organized by the Department of Geocryology, Faculty of Geology, MSU;
Institute of Permafrost Studies, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy
of Sciences; Production and Research Institute of Engineering Surveying
for Construction (PNIIS); Institute of the Earth Cryosphere, Siberian
Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences; All-Russia Institute of
Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology (VSEGINGEO); Research Institute of
Foundations and Underground Constructions (NIIOSP); State Planning
Institute "Fundamentproekt", etc.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PREPARATION OF PAPERS:

DEADLINE for papers is: 31 December 2000

Full length papers must be no more than 8 pages in length, including
figures. The paper should be submitted in printed form (1 copy) AND on a
3.5" diskette.

The text should be prepared in the Microsoft Word format, version 6.0,
97, normal style:
- Margins: top and bottom: 2 cm -- left and right: 2.5 cm
- Font: Times New Roman (Times New Roman Cyr)
- Font size: 14
- Hyphenation: no
- Alignment: left
- Spacing: before: 0; after: 0; line spacing: 1.5
- Indentation: left: 0; right: 0; special: 1.27
- Page numbers: no
- Header and footer: no
- Paper size: A4

Tables should be included in the text, framed, and prepared in Microsoft
Word (6.0, 97) or EXCEL. Formulas should be created in Microsoft
Equation from Microsoft Word, using the fonts Times New Roman (Times New
Roman Cyr) and Symbol. Graphs and pictures should be submitted in the
file form and prepared in Excel or Corel Draw.
