1998 LExEn Competition

Dear Colleague:

This is to remind you that NSF has announced another Life in Extreme
Environments (LExEn) competition for 1998. In 1997, some 20+ projects
were funded for a total of $6M. Polar Programs did very well in the
competition with 6 awards totaling more than $1M. For a list of 1997
