Polar Field Services seeks candidates for the position of Summit Science
Project Manager. As part of the Polar Field Services Greenland team, this
is a full-time and salaried position based in Littleton, Colorado.

The Summit Science Project Manager is responsible for planning,
coordinating, and implementing all research projects and year-round
science support for Summit Station-based field programs. Summit Station
is located at the peak of the Greenland ice cap at an elevation of
10,530 feet and is a scientific research station sponsored by the U. S.
National Science Foundation (NSF). Summit Station supports a diversity
of scientific research, including year-round measurements of air-snow
interactions that provide crucial knowledge for interpreting data from
deep ice cores drilled both at Summit and elsewhere. The project manager
is responsible for supporting operations as required at Summit and
within the Summit permit area as well as the hiring and supervision of
seasonal science technicians working on-site. This position requires
business travel, deployment to the field, and work in a traditional
office environment. Expected annual travel includes four trips per year
to Summit Station in Greenland and approximately four trips per year to
meetings in the U.S.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in any
field of science, a minimum of five years experience in remote filed
operations, and experience operating or maintaining technical science
equipment. Polar experience, experience in a supervisory role, and
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are preferred.
Wilderness First Responder certification must be maintained and obtained
within six months of employment.
