CH2M HILL Polar Services (CPS) is offering a field safety-training
course to National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded arctic researchers.
The course will take place at Toolik Field Station, Alaska, and will be
facilitated by Learn to Return (LTR) Training Systems
(http://www.survivaltraining.com).
The course will cover helicopter and bear safety training, and field
skills specific to working in arctic areas. This course is open to
NSF-funded arctic researchers. This includes principal investigators,
graduate students, research assistants, and undergraduate field
assistants. The course is free of charge. The class will be 2 hours in
length and will be repeated four times per day, as follows (all times in
AKDT):
Friday, 2 July 2010
8:30 - 10:30 a.m.
1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, 3 July 2010:
8:00 - 10:00 a.m.
10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
