The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Exxon
Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council are hosting public meetings to seek
public comment on environmental impacts of the Council's proposal to
narrow the scope of their work to five clearly-defined restoration
categories. The times and locations of the meetings are as follows:
- In Homer, Alaska: Tuesday, 16 February, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the
Islands and Oceans Visitor Center;
- In Anchorage, Alaska: Wednesday, 17 February, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at
the Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center;
- In Cordova, Alaska: Thursday, 18 February, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at
the Cordova City Council Chambers;
- In Seward, Alaska: Tuesday, 16 March, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the
K.M. Rae Building;
- In Valdez, Alaska: Wednesday, 17 March, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the
Valdez City Council Chambers; and
- In Kodiak, Alaska: Thursday, 18 March, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the
Kodiak Refuge Visitor Center.
Written comments on the intent to prepare an environmental assessment
will be accepted on or before Thursday, 1 April 2010. If you have a
