Planning for Climate Change: Weathering Uncertainty

Proposals are invited for papers, workshops, panels, training sessions,
and poster presentations in interactive and hands-on formats for
"Planning for Climate Change: Weathering Uncertainty," to be held on
20-23 July 2008, in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Symposium supporters include the
City of Iqaluit; Canadian Institute of Planners; Alberta Association,
Canadian Institute of Planners (AACIP); Government of Nunavut; and
Natural Resources Canada. Registration is limited to 200 delegates,
including presenters, which will allow for focused debates, leading-edge
workshops, and spontaneous learning opportunities.
Proposals that address climate change in a range of geographic
locations, including southern and northern communities of various sizes,
are encouraged. This is an interdisciplinary event and organizers
welcome submissions from local, national, and international planners,
academics, architects, community leaders, engineers, researchers, urban
designers, and others. Sessions will be in English and Inuktitut.
Proposals must be received no later than Friday, 30 November 2007.
