This three-day conference, sponsored by the National park Service and
the Anchorage Museum of History and Art, will be held this year 21-23
October in Anchorage, Alaska. All sessions will be held at the Museum.
The conference is free and open to the public on a walk-in basis.
Beringia Days brings together researchers, community and Native leaders,
and others from the United States and Russia to celebrate the unique
cultural and natural heritage shared by the two nations in the central
Beringia region. A wide range of topics, from scientific research to
cultural exchanges, will be presented.
This gathering provides a forum for the public to hear about projects,
activities, and cultural events taking place in eastern Chukotka and
Northwest Alaska, from St. Lawrence Island to Barrow.
