The 34th Annual International Arctic Workshop will be held March 11-13,
2004, at the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR),
University of Colorado at Boulder. The Workshop is open to all
interested in the Arctic.
Talks and poster sessions are organized around themes developed from the
abstracts submitted. One of the many themes will be a session on Modes
of Arctic Climatic Variability and Warmth. Graduate Student presenters
will receive free registration and reimbursement for meals and hotel
charges.
UPDATED INFORMATION
Hotel space will be tight in Boulder because 30,000 extra people will be
in town for the Colorado high school basketball championships. We have
reserved a block of rooms until 10 February; reservations are on a
first-come, first-serve basis. Please reserve your lodging early.
Please note - The abstract deadline has changed. The new deadline for

PRE-WORKSHOP MEETING
PARCS (Paleoenvironmental ARCtic Sciences) community-wide planning
meeting (10 March, Wed; day before the Arctic Workshop).
This 1-day open meeting is to coordinate on-going research activities
related to the current PARCS research focus, and to discuss new ideas
for organized paleoenvironmental research in the Arctic. Visit the PARCS
