All scientists (whether you've worked in the polar regions or not) are
invited to attend the International Polar Year Town Meeting on Thursday
evening, 11 December 2003. This is your opportunity to ask questions
about IPY planning and express your views of what IPY 2007-2008 should
be. Members of the US National Committee for the International Polar
Year (http://dels.nas.edu/prb/ipy/Committee.html) will lead an informal,
interactive discussion. We'll talk about the proposed science themes,
how international collaborations can be facilitated, and how we'll move
from planning to implementing IPY programs.
There will be an opportunity for you to present your IPY ideas. Without
exception, speakers will be allowed only ONE overhead.
