The Churchill Northern Studies Centre is pleased to announce that
applications are now being accepted for the Northern Research Fund (NRF)
for 2004. The application outline and submission guidelines are

The goal of the Northern Research Fund (NRF) is to provide funding and
enhance field research conducted by researchers utilizing facilities and
services of the Churchill Northern Studies Centre (CNSC). It is a
matching funds program that awards a combination of in-kind and direct
monetary support towards expenses normally encountered during the course
of field research programs. Northern Research Fund support for 2004,
available through the application process, will consist of:
250 user-days (accommodation and meals for one person for a 24 hour
period) and 100 vehicle-days (vehicle support from the CNSC fleet)
compliments of the CNSC$7,000.00 CDN in direct monetary support provided by Manitoba
ConservationVarious Winnipeg-Churchill travel vouchers compliments of Calm Air
International Limited and VIA Rail Canada
Using the CNSC's board-approved fee schedule as a reference, the total
valuation of all NRF support for the 2004 field season will be
approximately $26,600.00 CDN.
