IASC has publicly launched a new website dedicated to funding
opportunities in arctic-related research and organizations. IASC's
Arctic Funding Guide (http://www.arcticsciencefunding.org) offers
funding news, funding opportunities and assistance for writing
proposals. The website is a valuable resource for any researcher
looking for funding in the Arctic.
The website is highly interactive. The Funding News section allows
users to submit their own funding news or opportunities. In addition,
there is a general feedback form where comments and suggestions can be
easily submitted.
The website compiles an expansive amount of funding information from the
web and summarizes it all into one place. Funding opportunities from
many organizations representing the 18 IASC member countries are listed.
A summary of information detailing the organization and their
opportunities are given. Users can browse the website either by source
of funding (i.e. national, international, etc.) or by a general research
area (i.e. natural sciences, health & social sciences, etc.). Public,
private and logistics organizations are also listed.
The Proposal Writing section offers guidelines, links and mentors to aid
researchers in their funding quest.
The website will be continuously updated. We welcome any information
about funding organizations that are not listed on the website as well
as general suggestions and comments.
IASC's Arctic Funding Guide can be accessed through the IASC website at
http://www.iasc.no or directly via http://www.arcticsciencefunding.org.
