Project Technician
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the position
of "Project Technician" to support a new 3-year research effort on
carbon exchange in the Canadian Arctic. This project will establish a
field site in the central arctic for the purpose of investigating carbon
exchange at landscape, plant and soil levels. The technician will work
with a research team of investigators and graduate students and will be
involved in all aspects of the research, including planning and
management of field operations, acquiring and testing new equipment,
data collection, and data management and analysis.
Candidates should have an advanced degree (minimum Masters) in a field
relating to plant ecology, soil biogeochemistry, or micrometeorology,
previous field research experience (preferably in the arctic) and basic
computing skills.
This is a full time position, starting date T.B.A., for one year
renewable for two additional years. Salary is in the range of 35K to 40K
$CAN per year depending on experience and qualifications. Letters of
