Changes in Global and Regional Climate" at the IUGG2003 General Assembly
(Sapporo, Japan, June 30-July 11, 2003).

MC08 Future Changes in Global and Regional Climate (ICCl)
Developing estimates of changes in the future climate has depended on
developing estimates of how factors that force the climate may change
(generally in the absence of policy actions) as well as then evaluating
how the climate may respond to these changes. As a result of
uncertainties in each of these steps, a relatively wide range of
estimates of possible future global warming has resulted. This symposium
invites papers that will contribute to providing improved estimates of
future changes in global and regional-scale climate, including papers on
natural and anthropogenic forcings of the climate system, methods and
approaches for developing and evaluating estimates of future change
(including global and regional models), the response of climate to
projected forcings, and estimates of the expected changes in weather
statistics over regional domains, and probabilistic predictions of how
the climate and its various elements (including sea level) may change in
the future.
