Toxics and Climate Change Officer
WWF Arctic Programme

WWF, the conservation organization, has offices in 27 countries and over
five million supporters worldwide. Our Arctic Programme is currently
seeking a dynamic professional to coordinate its work on toxics and
parts of its climate change programme.

Responsibilities include compiling and communicating information on
arctic toxics and climate change issues, and representing WWF in toxics
fora. The impacts of climate change and toxics on arctic ecosystems are
core topics.

The successful candidate will have a university degree in natural
sciences, political science, or law. Minimum three years experience with
policy, advocacy, or communications in an international environment is
required. In addition to proficiency in written and spoken English,
working knowledge of either Russian or a Scandinavian language is
preferable. Other qualifications include strong team-working skills, the
ability to think and plan strategically, familiarity with nature
conservation, and willingness to travel.

The position is initially offered for one year, with the possibility of
an extension.
