Arctic Science Summit Week - Technology/Poster Displays
During the week of 21-28 April 2001, Iqaluit will be hosting the Arctic
Science Summit Week. The theme for this year's meeting is "Science and
Technology for Sustainable Northern Communities." The meeting is
expected to attract over 200 of the world's top science and research
people, including formal delegations from all circumpolar countries and
representatives of many circumpolar peoples. The week will be organized
around a series of meetings of circumpolar bodies and agencies, with
common events taking place throughout the week. The Summit has also
been, historically, a place where agencies and organizations share
information about logistics, technology, and other areas. Further
information about the Summit and a copy of the Programme can be found at
http://www.nac.nu.ca/nri
As part of the Arctic Science Summit Week, a central location has been
established for those wishing to present posters or displays about their
projects or organizations. The venue is a hall adjacent to the main
conference location, attached to the facilities at which luncheon will
be served. The facility will be open to conference participants and to
the public from 12:00 noon to 20:00, 23 April - 26 April 2001. If you
are interested in participating, please complete the following and
submit it to the conference organizers. Also, we would like to request a
one-page summary of the poster in advance, so that we might have it
translated into Inuktitut.
