Dear Polar Researchers,
I am pleased to announce that the Sixth American Meteorological Society
(AMS) Polar Meteorology and Oceanography Conference will be held 14-18
May 2001 in San Diego, California at the Catamaran Resort Hotel on the
shore of Mission Bay (check it out at http://www.catamaranresort.com).
The Conference will be held jointly with the Air/Sea Interaction Section
of the AMS. Polar topics will focus on (but will not be limited to)
air/sea/land/ice interactions, surface fluxes of energy and moisture,
cloud-radiation interactions, and high-latitude climate change.
For additional information, please see the Call for Papers in the
Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society or contact me directly.
You can also go to the AMS web site at: http://www.ametsoc.org/AMS/ for
updated information on this meeting as it becomes available. We hope to
have a terrific turnout and an exciting conference. See you in May!
Cheers,
