One of the special sessions will be given by author Dr. Valerie Alia. Dr.

at the Inuit Studies meetings in Iqaluit. Topics for her session follow:
MEDIA, ETHICS, AND COMMUNICATION
Chair: Dr. Valerie Alia, University of Sunderland, England
An open forum for discussing ethical issues
* in communications and media by and about Inuit
* the current state and future prospects of Inuit broadcast and print
journalism
* the state of Inuit media in Greenland, Alaska, and Siberia
* Canadian initiatives and the evolution of Television Northern Canada
(TVNC) and
* the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN)
