Dear Colleague,
"Building Partnerships In Polar Research and Education", the report from
the 1997 workshop on Arctic science education is now available. ARCUS
convened this workshop to stimulate communication on science education
needs, to facilitate partnerships in polar science education, and to
develop recommendations for future action. The resulting document outlines
the needs for research-education partnerships to develop arctic science
curricula for K-12 classrooms and to bring current polar research
activities into classrooms in arctic communities.
The science education report can be obtained from ARCUS by email at
arcus [at] arcus.org and may also be downloaded in Adobe Acrobat 3.0 format
from http://www.arcus.org/Education/Education_Report.html.
