Polar Information Websites Request and Survey

During the September Polar Libraries Colloquy in Reyjkavik, Iceland, we
will present a paper submitting the most useful and frequently consulted
polar information websites. As many researchers and librarians are
broadening into the electronic sources of information, there are many
websites with helpful information which are not widely known. The goal
of this survey is to have you help us identify the most useful and
frequently consulted 1) science and 2) non-science polar websites for
reference, rather than the most exhaustive or best designed.

Your assistance in responding to the questionnaire would be greatly
appreciated, and upon compilation of the responses, we will send you a
copy of the results. If you prefer to respond on-line, please consult
our website at http://www.gi.alaska.edu/services/library/polar_sites/.

The audience for this questionnaire will be the current members of the
Polar Libraries Colloquy and selected polar libraries and research
institutes listed in the World of Learning (1997).

In appreciation for your participation we've included a helpful tool for
evaluating web resources; these may not necessarily be the criteria you
use for responding to our questionnaire on your most useful websites.
Your response would be appreciated by July 30th. Let us know if you have
any questions.
