Organizers announce the Week of the Arctic to take place 8-14 May 2017
in Fairbanks and Anchorage, Alaska. Events will include the Arctic
Interchange 8-12 May 2017 in Fairbanks, Alaska and North by North 12-14
May in Anchorage, Alaska.
These events will coincide with the Arctic Council's Ministerial meeting
in Fairbanks, Alaska on 11 May 2017.
Arctic Interchange will include a number of presentations, workshops,
receptions, and facilitated policy discussions designed to highlight the
key themes and accomplishments of the Arctic Council and broader Arctic
efforts. Registration for Arctic Interchange is now open.
North by North will host a number of unique cultural activities to
celebrate the state's Arctic, share that Arctic with community members,
and attract visitors from other Arctic states to learn, exchange, and
build. Together, these events form North by North, an introduction to
and reclaiming of Arctic innovation, resilience and sustainability,
driven by local and public participation spanning the circumpolar north.
