The U.S. Arctic Observing Network (US AON) announces the release of two publications, the U.S. AON Accomplishments Report and Arctic Observation Storylines: River Watch.
The U.S. AON Accomplishments Report documents the achievements of the federal U.S. AON Board and partnered activities over the past two years.
The Arctic Observation Storylines: River Watch write-up shows how observing system inputs feed through data products into the River Watch program and services to provide societal benefits. Made in partnership with the NOAA-National Weather Service River Watch team, it documents key takeaways including the critical value of community partnership, opportunities to improve hydrological models, and strengths and gaps in the underlying observing system.
U.S. AON welcomes feedback, questions, and ideas. Contact Sandy Starkweather (sandy.starkweather [at] noaa.gov) or Hazel Shapiro (hazel [at] iarpccollaborations.org) or visit the US AON website to learn more.
