Organizers are accepting session abstracts for the Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit Conference 2025. This conference will take place 5-7 May 2025 in Rovaniemi, Finland.
The theme of this year’s conference is Elements of Arctic Security and explores security in the Arctic through diverse perspectives, including human, environmental, and climate security, as well as traditional state security. Recent geopolitical developments underscore the importance of fostering a comprehensive and nuanced discussion.
The conference begins on 5 May with a variety of pre-events, including content related to Arctic culture. The first main conference day, 6 May, will take place at the Korundi House of Culture and include keynote speeches and panel discussions. On the last day, the program continues at the Arktikum House with numerous scientific and thematic sessions.
Session proposals are particularly sought for the program on the last day. Proposals may include oral presentations, panel discussions, or roundtable conversations addressing various dimensions of Arctic security. Sessions are typically 90 minutes long, with time allocated for questions and audience engagement.
