The Consortium for the Advancement of Marine Arctic Science (CAMAS), established in 2023, aims to facilitate international collaboration and advance our understanding of key marine Arctic processes driving rapid environmental changes.

The second CAMAS Workshop and Early-Career School will take place15–18 April 2025, at the Center for Urban Horticulture in Seattle, Washington.

CAMAS focuses on these critical themes:

  • Drivers and impacts of ocean heat and freshwater transport into and out of the Arctic
  • Ocean-ice-atmosphere interactions in a warming Arctic
  • Biophysical impacts of Arctic marine biogeochemistry
