Workshop Dates: 12-15 November 2024
Workshop Locations: Orono & Portland, ME
Co-hosted by the University of Maine (UMaine), University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF), and the Arctic Research Consortium of the U.S. (ARCUS), the 2nd "Bridging Arctic Gateways" collaboration workshop will bring participants together around a selection of research collaboration areas to work on promoting greater awareness, exchange, and convergence among research units at UMaine and UAF.

Workshop travelers arrive in Orono, ME
Many travelers will be arriving on the same flight at the Bangor airport at 12:29pm. The meeting host team is planning to pick this group up and bring them to the hotel for an early check-in.
Meeting Hotel Check-In:
Hotel Ursa, 1 Moosehead Road, Orono, ME 04469
A group hotel booking has been arranged for all travelers (except for those covering their own travel or who let us know they would make other plans). Please check-in at the hotel using your own name. You may need to present a credit card at check-in. However, this will only be to cover incidentals expenses such as room service.
5:00 - 6:30 pm - Meet & Greet at Hotel Ursa Library
Join us for an informal meet-and-greet to welcome our Alaskan participants to Orono. We'll gather at the Hotel Ursa Library from 5:00 to 6:30 pm for pizza and salad from Orono House of Pizza.

Location: Room 111 Welcome Center in the Ferland Education & Design Center building (75 Long Rd)
This reception will bring workshop participations together with other UMaine contacts with an interest in the high latitudes. Appetizers will be provided.
